Are You Fighting Against Your Own Business?

In a fight against yourself, who do you think is going to win? The answer is most definitely not you, but the people who will benefit from your downfall.

Is your new product really better than your old?

The demand for popular products such as iPads or iPods, and android operated PC tablets and cell phones seems to only increase when newer models are released. Just know that this isn’t always the case for every new product.

When you release a new product on the market, it’s always best to make sure that the new is significantly better than the old in more than just a few ways, and that all other products have been available for an adequate amount of time, or you may end up battling against your own company for sales. A sure fire strategy to avoid making your products compete against each other is to wait for the demand of your older model products to die down before you begin to supply the newer and better version of your product. This benefits your company given that you will not take too much attention away from a product that was supposed to continue bringing in revenue for a longer period of time.

Think Consumer Wise

If you know what you want most as a consumer, then it’s not hard to figure out, when your marketing your products, how to tailor them specifically to your customer’s demands (if you’re keeping up with popular trends). Ask yourself, would you actually buy your own product or service? Would it make your own life any easier? Or maybe, by having it, would you earn more respect as an individual. As just owning a Rolex watch people, seem to think more highly of you. Answering yes to any of these questions can help you keep track of what the consumer of your product might actually want out of it.
